The final conference of the AGEO project will take place on April 19 and 20, 2023, at the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering, in Lisbon.

The Platform for Atlantic Geohazard Risk Management (AGEO) is a project funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area program. AGEO aims to pilot a new form of engagement between civil society and local authorities to demonstrate how citizens’ involvement in geohazard risks prevention can strengthen regional and national risk management systems.

Five pilot sites located in the Canary Islands (Spain), Giants’ Causeway and Carrick-a-rede (Northern Ireland), in Lisbon (Portugal), in Madeira Island (Portugal) and in Brittany (France) were created under this project.

AGEO also intends to encourage the local use of innovative Earth observation products and services provided by European data infrastructures, in particular Copernicus, which will support geohazard risk management.

Participation in the conference is free, but subject to mandatory registration, being limited to available places.
