Final Event in Spain – Seville, 7th March 2023
Integration of combined cooling, heating and power microgrids in zero-energy public buildings under high power quality and continuity of service requirements
On March 7, took place the final event of the IMPROVEMENT project whose objective is to develop, validate and demonstrate various solutions that allow the conversion of public buildings into nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB), through the integration of combined generation microgrids of heat, cold and electricity.
The results of the two pilot experiences developed by the National Hydrogen Center (CNH2) in Puertollano and the National Energy and Geology Laboratory (LNEG) in Lisbon were presented.
For its part, the Andalusian Energy Agency presented the Good Practices Guide developed in the project aimed at responsible and managers of new buildings and users of public buildings, to approach a more responsible consumption of energy and resources through a better knowledge of technological solutions, as well as their management and exploitation. The Implementation Plan, where the roadmap for the broad generalization of the technological solutions developed in the project is established, was also presented.
This conference also presented the results of the SOLE project of the ENI CBC MED program that promotes the exchange of knowledge in sustainable construction with the countries of the southern shore of the Mediterranean and in which the Andalusian Energy Agency participates together with entities from Italy, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia.
At the end, 3 Workshops on Strategies to Convert Buildings into nZEB Buildings were planned, where experts from both projects will talk about national and regional plans to promote energy efficiency, hydrogen applications and energy storage in buildings, as well as the advantages of smart grids and management systems to reduce energy consumption.
