The LIFE ReNatural NZEB project, acronym for “Recycled and natural materials and products to develop Nearly Zero Energy Buildings with low carbon footprint (LIFE17 ENV/ES/000329), aims to demonstrate and promote technological solutions for nZEB buildings, through the use of recycled and natural materials and products in order to reduce manufacture cost, incorporated energy and low carbon footprint, associated with new or refurbished buildings.

Conclusions of the project LIFE ReNatural NZEB are important to the construction sector due to its economic value and the convergence with present European targets related to the Energy Efficiency Directive (2018/202) and Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (2018/844).

LNEG joined the LIFE ReNatural NZEB project on February 1, 2020 and on March 12, the first videoconference meeting was held with the project coordinator and where the schedule and actions to be developed in the project by the LNEG team were presented. The coordination of the project is ensured by Dirección General de Arquitectura y Calidad de la Edificación (DGArq_JEX) as part of the Consejería de Movilidad, Transporte y Vivienda of the Junta de Extremadura (Juntaex) of Spain.
