The new geoPortal for Energy and Geology is now available! It is a new infrastructure with georeferenced information from different activities of the National Energy and Geology Laboratory.
The Energy and Geology geoPortal replaces the previous infrastructure and facilitates access to spatial data and information on the functionality of Metadata products, for research, Online Databases and Map Viewer, for consultation, and also an Open Data section for unloading. This website was developed in the context of the European directive INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe).
To facilitate or access the public’s digital access to LNEG’s technical and scientific information, there are still 2 applications used for use on mobile devices.
This new platform adds value to the LNEG repository, through the integration of improved features for treatment, research, interoperability and availability of information. It is in line with the most advanced requirements of the digital society, being dynamic for future developments.
The geoPortal for Energy and Geology was financed by the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program (COMPETE2020) through Portugal 2020 and by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
