The Poço Velho Caves, at Cascais, are one of the most important Portuguese archaeological places, containing pieces from the Upper Palaeolithic to the modem times. Those caves were used as a burial place since the Final Neolithic to the Bronze Age, providing the most important pieces.
The necklace is Neolithic (4.000 years B.C.) and its beads are made of green minerals, slate, limestone and shells.
