A tray of crystals.
This magnificent sample comes from the Panasqueira Mines (SW of Covilhã), the most important European wolfram mine. We can see several minerals: Wolframite (black), quartz (vitreous), apatite (light green), muscovite (transparent).
This piece was offered by the previous General Director of Geology and Mines, Eng°. F. Soares Carneiro, together with several other samples, in exhibition in this room.
