The New Geological Map of Spain and Portugal is an innovative document because, in addition to the traditional geological cartography of the emerged area, it also includes the geology of the continental shelf that surrounds the Iberian Peninsula and that of the Mediterranean and Atlantic islands belonging to both countries.
