Capacity Building in Sustainable Public Procurement
The project aims to mainstream sustainable public procurement (SPP) in Portugal and Greece through:
- Assisting public authorities in putting in place a procurement strategy in line with their economic, social and environmental policies;
- Encouraging cooperation among public procurers and
- Promoting a greater market engagement between public procurers and suppliers.
The project is mainly focused on public authorities, but other organizations from central administration are also foreseen. Private organizations will be addressed through the adaptation of some of the instruments produced within the project, namely the SPP Toolbox.
The project develops into 3 levels: cooperation, organisation and public policies.
