Prioritise energy efficiency (EE) measures in public buildings: A decision support tool for regional and local authorities” in the MED area

PrioritEE PLUS aims to strengthen the policy-making and strategic planning competences of local and regional public authorities in the energy management of Municipal Public Buildings (MPBs) in Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece and Croatia developing replicable solutions suited to various regional contexts.

In the Mediterranean area most of the public authorities need to enhance their institutional capacity in the field of Energy Efficiency (EE) and use of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in order to contribute to the Energy Performance of Buildings and the Energy Efficiency Directives, developing solutions adapted to various regional contexts.

The PrioritEE PLUS project was funded by the European Community within the Interreg MED programme 2014-2020 under Priority Axis 2 “Fostering low-carbon strategies and energy efficiency in specific MED territories: cities, islands and remote areas”, Specific Objective 2.1 “To raise capacity for better management of energy in public buildings at transnational level”.

PrioritEE PLUS has its roots on a strong network of professional institutions and local/regional public authorities from five Mediterranean countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece and Croatia) with complementary organizational background and competences.
