LNEG’s geoPortal is the integrated services infrastructure to support the management and visualization of spatial data, which aims to provide, in a web environment, the georeferenced information related to the different institutional activities of the National Laboratory of Energy and Geology.
This application allows search, sharing and availability of the institutional spatial data and consists of four main components:
- Metadata: a service for search and consultation of metadata catalog, according to the ISO 19139 standard, which allows to know the existence and availability of the geographical information;
- Online Databases: set of data query applications;
- Map Viewer: service for viewing and analyzing maps and spatial information;
- Open data: area for accessing and downloading data.
The application was developed in the framework of the INfrastructure for SPatial InfoRmation in Europe (INSPIRE), in conformity with the principles and normative established by this Directive.
